It has been quite the year. Life changing, really. This time last year, I had a request land in my inbox asking for the full manuscript of The Last Resort from Echo Publishing. I sent it expecting to never hear from them again. And, now we are just two short months away from you all being able to read it! You can pre-order a copy from most major retailers. Head here to see where. Please do. Order one for your mum, sister and best friend too!
You can also add it to your to be read pile on Goodreads. And if you are one of the lucky ones who has read it, please don’t forget to leave a nice review. I appreciate more than you know! Our early reviews have been gorgeous with Book + Publishing saying, ‘ vivid dialogue and cinematic moments that bring each scene to life. The Last Resort is a warm, emotionally engaging debut that balances heartbreak, humour and second chances. ‘ You can see the full review on publication.
Next month, as a little gift to those of you who have been subscribed since the beginning here, I’ll have a little preview of The Last Resort included. I’ll also have lovely news about the amazing Audiobook heading your way. Wavesound are producing it and are so professional, finding the absolute best voices. You can pre-order the audiobook here.
Debut Crew 2026
I got to hang out with and meet some of the Sydney contingent of the debut crew for next year. You guys, they are an incredibly talented bunch of Australian writers, publishing such exciting books next year in all different genres. If you want to follow any of them, you can use the hashtag #debutcrew2026 on an Instagram search and find your next favourite author.
Christmas Tree
For those of you new here, you may not yet know, that I am an borderline insane about my Christmas tree. I make a new poetic theme each year and decorate in different colours. This years theme is about the views of the houses of parliament in London from Westminster Bridge and the colours are gold and white. Don’t judge me. I’m weird.
Events
I’ll have some news about all of the places you will be able to find me over the next few months in the new year, but I am so looking forward to it.
I will be a signing author at A Romantic Rendezvous in Sydney. You can find out more here.
So long, 2025 …
An incredibly hard year for the world, an unusual and incredible year personally.
I hope you all have safe, happy Christmas and New Year.
Thank you for your continued love and support. See you in 2026.
